The Window Mister Kit is a unique way to create your own Natural Air Conditioner!

Evaporative cooling is as old as history, it was practiced thousands of years ago in the Cradle of Civilization, namely Mesopotamia, where ancient architects added cascading water at windows, and water fountains in courtyards. The effect of the evaporated water cooled that controlled desert environment.

Note: The above sizes can be expanded by using one or more 5-Nozzle Extension Mister Kit #M5EXT-C.

The Window Mister Kit allows the user to incorporate a mister outside a window, where as the wind blows, the hot air passes through the mist, and enters the house as cool breeze. Although a tree is not needed, but if it is available in front of a window, then the mister is clipped to a tree branch (about 1' away from the window), and this has three benefits:

1. The tree shades the window.
2. The mist waters the tree.
3. The mist cools the air entering through that window.

The basic kit is 1-Nozzle, and is for a 2' wide small window, and depending on the size of the window, more misters could be added. The rule of thumb is to space the nozzles 2' apart, hence dividing the width of the window by two, will give the number of nozzles needed for that window.

If the window has a mesh screen, the mesh would retain water particles, hence increasing the effect of cooling, where it would act as the cooling coil of an air conditioner.

Note: If no tree is available in front of the window, then the misters should be placed at about 1' away from the window.

An ideal window for this application would be a bathroom window, (which normally have ceramic tile walls, and no furniture). The bathroom door could be left open, this way the cool air spreads to other rooms in the house.

CAUTION: Although the mist would hardly enter into the house, yet there is no control over wind blow, therefore keep all electrical items away from that window, and also any furniture or stuff that might be damaged with the mist.

Note: It goes without saying that the window has to be open for the window mister to work!
